KY Public Health AmeriCorps - Bell County Health Department
KY Public Health AmeriCorps volunteers will become Community Health Workers (CHW) to serve in any or all core public health programs within Local Health Departments. The AmeriCorps volunteer serving with the Bell County Health Department may serve within the Harm Reduction or Health Education & Outreach programs.
Please note: this is a 900-hour term and the AmeriCorps volunteer should expect to serve approximately 15-20 hours per week from September 1, 2026 - July 31, 2027. Please use the link below to apply today!
Internships
The Bell County Health Department (BCHD) accepts applications for both Bachelor’s and Master’s students for practicum/internship hours. Any student interested in completing an internship/practicum at BCHD must contact either the director, Taneisha Brummett, or the Nurse Administrator, Trissa Wilder, by phone or email.
All internship candidates will be screened through an in-person interview with the Public Health Director and the Nurse Administrator.
